Five places off the slopes
26. January 2022
Acla Muragl, Graubuenden (Switzerland)
The modern apartment on the organic farm Acla Muragl offers a wonderful wide view of the majestic mountains of the Upper Engadin. The farm is run by Patricia and Hannes, who live in the same house. Fresh eggs and meat can be obtained from them.
The guest house and farm from 1900 is in the third generation of family ownership. The farm was last renovated in 2011, lovingly and in an ecologically responsible manner. The bright and modern apartment is spacious and optimally equipped. On 90 square meters there are three bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen and a bathroom. The furnishings create a nice contrast with antique Engadine furniture.
Thanks to the south-facing orientation of the house, the apartment is flooded with light and you can enjoy the wonderful, unobstructed panoramic view of the Engadine mountains from the windows or the balcony. The apartment can also be used wonderfully as a “mountain office”: a desk, internet and two screens are freely available.
By the way, we also featured this accommodation in Five places off the slopes.
The house and the apartment are made of a lot of wood. The orientation towards the mountains ensures a wonderful view of the mountain scenery. The apartment was renovated as environmentally friendly as possible. The furniture is of high quality to guarantee a long service life.
There is a photovoltaic system on the roof. The house is equipped with pellet heating and energy-saving windows. The garbage is composted and glass, PET, aluminum, batteries, paper and cardboard are recycled. The detergents are organic and the bed linen is made from organic cotton. A holistic approach is pursued in the farm with its own animal husbandry and great importance is attached to environmental protection. The organic farm offers regional products for sale.
