From the balcony of the Grand River Budapest Apartment, guests have a view of the Danube and the church at Bakáts Tér. The spaciousness of the apartment with 120 square meters, the beautifully preserved parquet and the high stuccoed ceilings can be enjoyed in each of the four rooms.
The apartment is stylistically designed to match the Art Nouveau house and plays with modern elements. Luxury is also provided by the integrated underfloor heating under the terrazzo floor in the bathroom, as well as a separate bathtub and shower.
The central location of the apartment speaks for itself: within walking distance there are numerous cafes and restaurants, the old market hall, thermal baths such as the famous Gellert bathroom and the Danube itself.
The furniture was made by local craftsmen who work only with materials from the surrounding area. It tried to use the existing materials again, such as stones when moving walls, just like wood when working out the old stucco or parquet.
90% of the groceries from Hungary can be bought in the neighboring old market hall. The market stalls have often been run by the same owners for years and are definitely worth a visit.
