Mas Oms is located in the middle of the Gavarres Natural Park on Spain's Costa Brava. The rooms mainly look out onto hills and green oak trees. The silence in this place is incredible.
The house was built in 1492 and was a masia or farm. This was abandoned in 1928 and then fell into ruins. After the purchase by the current owners and the four-year renovation, the small hotel opened in 2021.
Hosts Celine and Julien Evrard's vision was to create a place where people would feel better, healthier and happier after their stay than before. The healthy food, the ingredients of which mainly come from the vegetable garden, the relaxing yoga courses and massages as well as the many great hiking and cycling trails contribute to this.
The design of the house is a mix of modernity and respect for traditional materials. Each of the six rooms is designed differently - but all have a strong focus on comfort and coziness. It's small and cozy inside, green and open outside.
The renovation of the property was carried out taking into account the original 15th century farm. There are solar panels and a heating pump that help save resources. Local wood and iron were also used for the renovation.
All food (and drinks) are organic. The cuisine is primarily plant-based; 80% of the food comes from our own garden, the rest from local producers. Breakfast consists of more than 28 dishes. Otherwise there is only seasonal and predominantly vegetarian cuisine.
The property only uses eco-products for cleaning and there is recycled toilet and kitchen paper. There is also a biological septic tank.
There is a pool, as well as various yoga and meditation classes and massages.
